Tim Tebow has a strong warning for parents about the increasing danger of predators targeting children online.
“At the Tim Tebow Foundation, we fight for people who can’t fight for themselves — and that includes children who are being sexually exploited,” he told the Christian Post. “So much exploitation has moved online, and the same devices in our kids’ hands right now can be easy access points for people with the goal to do evil. A phone can be a great tool for a family. It can also be a door a predator tries to walk through to get into your child’s life.”
Through Tebow’s advocacy work, he has unfortunately heard upsetting stories of how technology was a gateway for bad actors.
“We’ve heard too many horror stories of kids being approached online without their parents ever knowing,” the former NFL star explained. “A predator used to have to get past the adults to get access to a child. Now the device in your child’s hand can put a stranger right beside them — pulling up a chair no one can see. They can build trust for months while a loving parent in the next room has no idea.”
Congress recently passed the Renewed Hope Act, legislation Tebow has been fighting for that will expand resources to help those trapped in human trafficking.
“Right now, 89,000 unidentified image series of children being sexually abused have been seen by law enforcement — but these children have yet to be identified and are still waiting to be found due to resource and manpower shortages, every day we don’t act is another day they’re in harm’s way,” Tebow posted on Instagram last week.

“Today, we acted,” he continued. “I am grateful to our congressional leaders for getting this lifesaving legislation over the finish line, and to the law enforcement who never stop fighting for these kids. My prayer is that hope is renewed for many more boys and girls, and that their stories will be different because of this legislation. When we come together, real change can happen —and this is just the beginning.”
Tebow uses his platform to be a voice for those who can’t advocate for themselves, especially through his Tim Tebow Foundation.
Not only does the foundation help people trapped in trafficking, it also aids orphans, people with special needs and those with medical needs.
The Tim Tebow Foundation not only helps those suffering human trafficking, it aims to help orphans, special needs, and others as well.
“I believe that each one of us has not only been saved from something, but that we have also been saved for something,” Tebow said previously. “We have been called to rescue people out of darkness, to serve people in need, and ultimately, to share with every man, woman, and child about the God who created each of them in His own image and who loves them with a perfect and lasting love.”
Isaiah 1:17 says, “Learn to do good. Seek justice. Help the oppressed. Defend the cause of orphans. Fight for the rights of widows.” Through his advocacy work, Tim Tebow does just that and inspires others to do the same.
