The Valley Industry Association will host a special June luncheon focused on one of the most pressing challenges facing businesses today: cybercrime. The event will feature two distinguished experts who will provide valuable insights into cyber threats, emerging risks, hidden vulnerabilities, and the steps business leaders must take now to protect their organizations.
The luncheon will take place Tuesday, June 30, at 11:45, at the Child and Family Center, 21545 Centre Pointe Parkway in Santa Clarita.
Joining VIA for this timely discussion will be Detective Sergeant Peter Hish, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Cybercrime Investigations Expert and Thomas Gonzalez, Deputy Director for CISA, Region 9 (Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency), a division of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
As cyberattacks continue to increase in frequency and sophistication, organizations of all sizes face growing risks to their operations, finances, and reputations. Attendees will gain practical knowledge about today’s cyber threat landscape and learn strategies to strengthen their cybersecurity posture.
“This luncheon will highlight best practices for protecting businesses from the growing threat of cybercrime, as no business is immune from these attacks,” said VIA CEO Kathy Norris. “CISA also offers specialized services, including cybersecurity assessments and recommendations to help companies strengthen their security.”
The program will cover:
– Current cyber threats targeting businesses
– Emerging risks and hidden vulnerabilities
– Cybercrime trends affecting organizations of all sizes
– Resources and support available through CISA
– Actionable steps leaders can take to improve cybersecurity preparedness
Due to the specialized nature of this presentation and the caliber of the speakers, space is very limited and early registration is strongly encouraged.
