AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — A 65-year-old Amarillo man was indicted following his arrest that was based on a tip from Predator Poachers.
A Potter County grand jury indicted David Lee Skeen for online solicitation of a minor, and possession of child pornography.
On June 2, police responded to Skeen’s home where they met with a representative from Predator Poachers, a private online group that targets suspected child predators.
The man said a member of his organization had been posing as a 13-year-old female online and chatting with Skeen.
According to court documents obtained by ABC 7 News, Skeen arranged to meet up with the person he thought was a 13-year-old female at his home.
After Skeen was detained by police, he got some items from his home, including his phone. Skeen gave police consent to look in it. One of the officers did so and viewed what he believed to be the chat between Skeen and the decoy from Predator Poachers.
According to court documents, Skeen admitted there would be photos of children on his phone.
