GULF BREEZE, Fla. (WKRG) — A Gulf Breeze man has been sentenced in federal court as a child predator, according to U.S. Attorney John P. Heekin.

According to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office Northern District of Florida, 36-year-old Brock A. Westrom was sentenced to four years in federal prison for attempted enticement of a minor.
Evidence presented during the trial indicated that in July 2024, the Bay County Sheriff’s Office and other law enforcement partners conducted an undercover operation to find people who were soliciting minors online for sex.
On July 19, Westrom began talking to someone he thought was a 15-year-old child. He told that person the sex acts he wanted them to perform, how much he was willing to pay for those acts and arranged a place and time to meet.
Westrom drove to the arranged location, where he was met by law enforcement and arrested.

After serving his term, Westrom will have to register as a sexual offender and serve another five years of supervised release.
