Crush Security has appointed Jeff Skeldon as Vice President of Sales as the company expands its national go-to-market organization and prepares to showcase its platform at Black Hat USA 2026.

Skeldon will lead sales efforts for Crush Security’s cybersecurity platform, which combines software reselling, systems integration, automated compliance and AI-powered security intelligence.

The Scottsdale, Arizona-based company describes its business model as a “Super VAR.” A traditional value-added reseller, or VAR, sells third-party technology while providing services such as implementation, integration and support.

Crush is seeking to expand that model by providing security leaders with a centralized platform for evaluating, purchasing and managing cybersecurity products. The company said its approach is designed to give chief information security officers greater visibility into how individual technologies fit within their broader security programs.

Skeldon brings decades of cybersecurity sales and go-to-market experience to the role.

He joined Accuvant in 2005 and eventually became Director of Sales for Southern California. He remained with the business through its 2015 merger with FishNet Security, which created Optiv, and later served as Vice President of Sales for the western United States through 2018.

Skeldon subsequently led enterprise sales at cloud security company Netskope. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Worldwide Sales at ArmorCode, a company focused on application security posture management.

His experience includes building sales organizations, working with large enterprises and developing relationships across the cybersecurity vendor and channel ecosystem.

As Vice President of Sales, Skeldon will help Crush introduce its platform to more organizations seeking to simplify technology selection, compliance management and cybersecurity program development.

Crush CEO and co-founder Josh Jones said Skeldon’s experience at Accuvant and Optiv gives him a strong understanding of how security providers can build trusted relationships with customers while operating at scale.

The company argues that cybersecurity buyers face a growing volume of products, vendors and AI-related claims. Security leaders must determine which tools address actual gaps, how those products integrate with existing systems and whether the resulting technology stack supports the organization’s security framework.

Crush is positioning its platform as a control and context layer for those decisions. The system is intended to connect an organization’s maturity, compliance requirements, identified risks and technology choices.

Its services include software reselling, automated compliance and security intelligence. The company also provides Cassandra, a personal AI assistant that functions as a virtual security architect for customers.

Cassandra is designed to help organizations assess security requirements, evaluate potential solutions and manage elements of their cybersecurity programs. Crush said the assistant is included with each customer engagement.

The company is also working with technology partners including Realm.Security and JetStream Security.

Realm.Security co-founder and CEO Pete Martin said Crush’s focus on unbiased validation can help ensure that vendors are presented to customers based on their suitability for a particular security requirement.

JetStream Security co-founder and Chief Operating Officer Jared Phipps said the companies are working together to help organizations maintain visibility and governance as AI systems move into production environments.

Skeldon’s appointment follows several regional and channel leadership additions at Crush.

The company named Rob Bouknight Regional Vice President for the West, Steve Duncombe Regional Vice President for the Central region and Ali Alwan Regional Vice President for the East.

Jason Eberhardt also joined as Vice President of Channel Development.

Together, the executives give Crush dedicated leadership across the United States and its partner ecosystem as it expands its commercial organization.

The company plans to introduce the expanded leadership team to customers and partners during Black Hat USA 2026, scheduled for August 1 through August 6 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.

Crush will host meetings and events throughout the conference as it seeks to increase awareness of its cybersecurity platform.

The company’s strategy reflects a broader challenge facing security executives. Organizations are being encouraged to adopt AI products rapidly, but governance, risk assessment and technology procurement processes may not develop at the same pace.

Crush believes a centralized system for evaluating and managing cybersecurity products can help companies avoid purchasing disconnected tools that do not align with their operational requirements.

The company was founded by Jones, Clayton Riness and Joshua Johnson. It is veteran-owned and headquartered in Scottsdale.

Skeldon’s appointment completes a series of senior hires intended to support Crush’s national expansion and strengthen its relationships with customers, software providers and channel partners.

KEY QUOTES:

“Jeff is the right person to lead that charge.”

“Their focus on unbiased validation and outcome-driven recommendations means our technology gets in front of the right customers for the right reasons.”
