Data security firm Cyera has signed a letter of intent to acquire Oasis Security. The deal is worth about $1 billion. TechCrunch reported on July 29 that Cyera plans to combine Oasis Security technology with its unified identity and data security platform after the acquisition.
Oasis Security has focused on non-human identity security, mainly AI agent security. As AI agents increase, companies are adopting cyber security software to monitor agent activity and grant access permissions to other software.
Cyera recently acquired Lightr, which was backed by Index Ventures, and Genie Security, which was founded less than a year ago.
Oasis Security, founded in 2022, has raised about $195 million from Accel, Craft Ventures and Cyberstarts, among others.
Cyera recently raised $600 million, valuing the company at $12 billion. Annual recurring revenue has exceeded $150 million, but it has yet to turn a profit.
