WASHOUGAL, Wash. (KATU) — Washougal Police arrested two men from Oregon during an undercover sting operation where officers posed as children online.
According to investigators, both men thought they were meeting up with a minor child to exchange money for sexual activity. Officials said no actual children were involved in the undercover communications.
Washougal Police said both suspects arrived separately at an agreed meet-up spot and were taken into custody.
Ryan Culvert, 32, of Hillsboro, and William Yovis, 25, of Beaverton, were both arrested and booked into the Clark County Jail on First-Degree Attempted Rape of a Child, and Attempted Commercial Sexual Abuse of a Minor.
