Several new laws are set to take effect in Illinois next month.
Legislation marks an end to road tests for senior drivers, and protects students against cyber-bullying with artificial intelligence, to name a couple.
Here’s a look at some laws that will begin on July 1.
No more mandatory road tests for senior drivers
House Bill 1226, drafted by Illinois Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias, will eliminate the state’s mandatory behind-the-wheel driving tests for drivers aged 79 to 86.
