AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) – On Tuesday, Summit County Prosecutor Elliot Kolkovich announced a prison sentence for a child predator.

Gregory Demoss, 45-year-old man from Akron, was sentenced to 14 to 17.5 years in prison for pandering child sexual abuse material, according to a press release from the Summit County Prosecutor office.

In May, Demoss pled guilty to eight counts of pandering sexually-oriented matter involving a minor or impaired person, each one being a second degree felony, according to the release.

From Akron Police Department, in 2024 officers were notified of Demoss sharing child sexual abuse material. In further investigations police found thousands of explicit images and videos of the material on an electronic device belonging to Demoss.

Summit County Prosecutor has designated Demoss as a Tier II sex offender, requiring Demoss to register every 180 days with the local sheriff for 25 years when he is released from prison.
