DARLINGTON COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – A cybersecurity incident is limiting some Darlington County services, but emergency services and the county’s ability to receive and dispatch 911 calls remain operational.
The county said Wednesday that certain computer systems are affected and some services are operating at limited capacity.
Some systems were proactively taken offline as part of the county’s response.
“We are working with third-party cybersecurity specialists and law enforcement agencies at all levels to restore full functionality to our network as quickly and securely as possible,” the county said in a statement.
The investigation is ongoing.
The county said it will provide updates as more information becomes available.
