SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – A Tampa man faces 103 charges after the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said investigators found more than 100 files of child sexual abuse material on devices during a search of his apartment.
The sheriff’s office said its Internet Predator Unit received a tip that child sexual abuse material, also known as CSAM, was being uploaded through Google.
Investigators and the agency’s SWAT team served a search warrant Aug. 27 at an apartment in the 1800 block of East 142nd Avenue, HCSO said.

Deputies found numerous devices they said belonged to Florentino Perez-Gomez, 38. HCSO said the devices contained more than 100 files of CSAM and one file involving sexual activity with an animal.
Perez-Gomez is charged with 100 counts of solicitation or possession of CSAM involving 10 or more images, one count of possession of CSAM with intent to promote, one count of filming, distributing or possessing an image or video of sexual activity with an animal, and one count of unlawful use of a two-way communications device, according to HCSO.
“There is no place in Hillsborough County for anyone who preys on children,” Sheriff Chad Chronister said in a statement. “This arrest sends a clear message: our Internet Predator Unit is relentless in identifying and removing these predators from our community.”
HCSO said additional charges may be forthcoming.
