WALL, S.D. – The Pennington County Treasurer’s satellite office in Wall will remain closed throughout September as the county continues recovering from a cybersecurity incident.
County officials say network services have not yet been fully restored at some remote locations, preventing Treasurer’s Office services from operating at the Wall office.
Residents can still access services at the main Pennington County Treasurer’s Office, located at 900 Concourse Drive in Rapid City. The office remains open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Some motor vehicle transactions are also available online through the South Dakota Department of Revenue, and four self-service kiosks remain available in Rapid City for eligible services.
Pennington County Treasurer Annette Brant apologized for the inconvenience and thanked residents for their patience as recovery efforts continue.
County officials have not announced a timeline for restoring services or reopening the Wall satellite office.
