HackerOne Adds OpenAI Cyber Models to Code Security and Remediation Tools | #hacking | #cybersecurity | #infosec | #comptia | #pentest | #ransomware

HackerOne is adding OpenAI’s frontier GPT cyber models to several H1 Platform products as part of a new partnership focused on helping security teams move from vulnerability discovery to remediation more quickly.

The models will be available in H1 Code Security Audit, H1 Code and H1 Remediation. Customers can choose whether to enable them.

The move comes as more capable AI models give defenders new ways to uncover vulnerabilities, exposures and complex attack paths. That increase in discovery also creates a need for security teams to validate findings, understand which issues pose the most risk and give developers clearer guidance on what to fix.

“AI is making complex attack paths increasingly discoverable, changing the risk calculation for every security leader,” said Kara Sprague, Chief Executive Officer at HackerOne. “Defenders have to assume that if an exposure exists, it will be found, and act before attackers do. That means building security programs that continuously discover, validate, and eliminate risk, so organizations can move from reacting to threats to staying ahead of them.”

HackerOne, a global leader in Continuous Threat Exposure Management, said its H1 Platform can use OpenAI’s frontier cyber models through the Daybreak Defense Network. The models can be used to broaden coverage, validate outputs and trace findings to their root cause.

The platform can then provide developer-ready fix plans intended to help reduce the time required to remediate vulnerabilities.

“Frontier AI can significantly expand what defenders can discover, but findings must still be validated, prioritized, and translated into action,” said Nidhi Aggarwal, Chief Product Officer at HackerOne. “The H1 Platform can put frontier AI to work across the security lifecycle, finding and validating the exposures that pose real risk, tracing them to root cause, and giving teams a clear path to remediation.”

HackerOne is combining those AI capabilities with its security researcher community, which provides additional expertise for areas such as complex attack chains, business logic flaws and novel exploitation paths.

The partnership builds on broader work between HackerOne and OpenAI around cyber defense and vulnerability remediation.
