A felony charge was recently filed against a sexual predator in Grundy County. Daniel Klepk, 39, of Morris was recently indicted by a Grundy County grand jury on the charge of Failing To Register as a sex offender, a class three felony. Klepk is accused of failing to register as a sex offender in Morris.
He was arrested on a Grundy County warrant by the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office in late August. He remains free on pretrial release. Livingston County court records show Klepk was sentenced to 30 months of probation on the charge of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse, a class two felony in August of 2024.
He was also sentenced to 120 days in the Livingston County Jail. According to the Illinois Sex Offender Registry, Klepk sexually abused a 9-year-old in Livingston County. Klepk must register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
