Minister of State for Prime Minister’s Affairs Mohamed bin Ghalboun discussed plans to develop a comprehensive national cybersecurity strategy and mechanisms for implementing approved national policies in the field.
The meeting, attended by General Authority for Cybersecurity and Digital Sovereignty Chairman Fawzi Abdulali, General Information Authority Chairman Abdulbasit Al-Baour, National Information Security and Safety Authority Chairman Salah Al-Tabini, and General Authority for Communications and Informatics Information Centre Director-General Joudat Al-Khaddar, focused on coordinating efforts and clarifying responsibilities among relevant authorities.
Participants stressed the need for a joint national mechanism to monitor implementation of the strategy and policies, assess compliance and preparedness, and conduct regular tests and exercises to strengthen the security of the country’s digital infrastructure and protect national data and systems from cyber risks and threats, according to a statement by the Hakoomitna platform.
