The Federal High Court in Abuja has adjourned the cyberbullying trial involving human rights activist and publisher, Omoyele Sowore, to October 19, 2026.
The matter, which was scheduled for hearing today, could not proceed as the presiding judge was reportedly bereaved and was unable to sit.
Sowore is facing charges relating to alleged cyberbullying and online publications in a case instituted by the Federal Government.
The matter is before Justice Mohammed Umar, who is expected to continue proceedings when the case comes up on October 19.
The next sitting is expected to determine the further direction of the trial, including the presentation of evidence or arguments by the parties, depending on the court’s schedule.
