Integrated security company SGA Solutions said on Tuesday it will supply zero-trust security firm Illumio’s micro-segmentation solution in South Korea.

Through the partnership, SGA Solutions will move to expand its domestic micro-segmentation business based on Illumio technology. The two companies plan to strengthen sales and technical cooperation and enhance capabilities to build micro-segmentation optimized for customers’ diverse IT environments in South Korea, as well as provide technical support.

The two companies also plan to gradually expand technical cooperation with the goal of implementing full-stack micro-segmentation. They will pursue implementation of “Full-Stack micro-segmentation” spanning from the kernel level to the application level by combining Illumio’s application-domain micro-segmentation technology with SGA Solutions’ kernel-level micro-segmentation technology.

SGA Solutions plans, through the cooperation, to strengthen granular access control and breach-spread prevention capabilities required in AI and cloud environments, and to expand its micro-segmentation business across various industries including the public sector, finance and enterprises.

Kyung-yoon Yang (양경윤), head of Illumio Korea, said, “We will support strengthening cyber resilience for domestic customers by combining SGA Solutions’ understanding of the domestic security market and its zero-trust business experience with Illumio’s zero-trust segmentation technology.”

Young-cheol Choi (최영철), CEO of SGA Solutions, said, “Micro-segmentation is a core technology to minimize the spread of breaches and implement zero trust in increasingly complex AI and cloud environments.” He added, “Through cooperation with Illumio, we will strengthen related technology and business competitiveness and, based on accumulated experience, respond to security demand in various markets including the public sector, finance and enterprises.”
