Fleuret AI bags €4m for agentic AI offensive security

Fleuret AI, a French startup using agentic AI to automate penetration testing, has secured €4m in pre-seed funding to strengthen its position in European offensive security.

RAISE Ventures led the investment. Auriga Cyber Ventures, Wind Capital and Better Angle also took part, as did several prominent business angels from the cybersecurity sector.

The company plans to put the capital towards recruiting in AI, software engineering and offensive security, and towards developing its platform more quickly. Because the agents run from Europe on European infrastructure, Fleuret says they can also meet the rising sovereignty demands of businesses in heavily regulated industries.

Fleuret wants to turn penetration testing from a periodic check into an ongoing process. Organisations update their systems daily while security expectations keep growing, and regulations such as NIS2 require more businesses to show their defences hold up. Penetration tests, however, have mostly been carried out as occasional audits. These capture a system at one point in time, and a deployment made only days later can already alter the attack surface.

The platform covers five areas: understanding which systems are exposed, discovering vulnerabilities, demonstrating that they can be exploited, supporting remediation, and confirming that fixes have worked.

It relies on two AI agents, named Emile and Champollion, to carry out the tasks normally handled by a pentester. The agents map an organisation’s environment and examine its applications, APIs and infrastructure, then attempt to exploit any weaknesses they uncover. Each result includes a proof of compromise showing in practical terms how the flaw could be used. After testing, the platform continues to monitor the attack surface and can run fresh tests when the system changes.

Fleuret is also developing features to help teams close out issues. These include ranking vulnerabilities by how exploitable they are, connecting with tools engineering teams already rely on, re-testing automatically, and producing reports that confirm a flaw has genuinely been resolved.

The business employs about ten people and counts Brevo, Stoïk and Yogosha among its customers. Its goal from the beginning has been European in scope: to bring offensive security within reach of all businesses, including those without the budget for regular penetration tests.

Fleuret AI CEO and co-founder Yanis Grigy said, “We do not simply want to automate penetration testing as it exists today. Our ambition is to build the offensive security layer that will keep companies secure all year round, whatever their size. This round gives us the means to accelerate that vision and to build a platform designed for enterprise environments from day one.”

RAISE Ventures co-head Thibaut Schlaeppi said, “AI has changed the nature of cyberattacks by putting powerful tools within everyone’s reach, often for free. Organisations have to test their security against every attack technique, including the newest. Fleuret built its platform to evolve continuously and stay a step ahead of attackers, with a team that puts AI to work for deep offensive expertise. We are convinced Fleuret can become the reference in offensive security in Europe.”
