Footage of Carlos Simon-Vega’s 5 arrest on Sunday, Oct. 5, was shared by self-proclaimed child predator catchers EDPWatch, which said it carried out the sting.
“We’re in North Bergen, New Jersey with Carlos Simon,” a member of the group told the camera as officers searched him in an apartment. “As you guys can see, he has no arms. He came over here to meet a 15-year-old girl. He wanted to do some very bad things to her and he is under arrest.”
Simon-Vega was charged with second-degree luring or enticing a child, New Jersey court records show. The alleged offense happened around 7 p.m. Oct. 5, according to the complaint. North Bergen police Officer Kiana Rosado filed the charge. Daily Voice has reached out to North Bergen police for additional details.
