During Matchday 11 of the Apertura 2026 tournament, the Liga MX website was hacked in an incident that went viral on social media. Visitors attempting to access the official site were greeted by a message from the hacker, displayed in red letters against a black background.
Social media users began reporting problems accessing the website, with some sharing screenshots showing the message left by the person responsible for the attack. However, the disruption also affected the websites of Liga MX Femenil, Liga de Expansión and the youth leagues.
Other users reported that when they tried to access the Liga MX website, they simply encountered an error message accompanied by the league’s logo in gray. This meant that only some visitors could see the hacker’s message. The reason for the different error messages remains unknown.
What did the Liga MX hacker message say?
The message, displayed in glowing red letters against a black background, identified the alleged hacker as STNXZ and carried the warning: “Security is a myth. Your database is in our hands.”
Beneath it, a terminal-style window showed a series of security errors and computer commands, alongside a claim that the system had been fully compromised. However, there has been no confirmation that the attackers actually gained access to the league’s database or stole any information.
