Brazil’s state-run oil company Petrobras and its logistics subsidiary Transpetro have at least seven technology tenders underway, with bid deadlines ranging from October 16 to December 8, according to a BNamericas review of the company’s procurement portal, Petronect. The processes include tenders for cybersecurity, engineering software and Wi-Fi network equipment, among others. In cybersecurity, for example, Petrobras is contracting cyber threat intelligence services (lot 1) under process SIC 125, as well as a cloud subscription (SaaS) solution (lot 2) in the same area. The first lot covers digital risk protection, the takedown of malicious or fake websites, profiles and apps, and training, across IT, industrial, building automation and IoT environments. The second includes cyber threat intelligence services with global coverage, plus technical support and training. Opportunity No. 7004653858 is accepting bids until October 16. The company is also seeking a perpetual license and a technology upgrade for engineering software used for “post-processing of numerical simulation results and structural compliance assessment,” as well as training services. In short, Petrobras is looking for a program that analyzes the results of engineering simulations and checks whether structures comply with standards. The international tender is open to bids until October 16 (Opportunity No. 7004651769). Another international process covers an on-premises subscription license and training for biological process modeling software. Bids can be submitted until October 19 (Opportunity No. 7004644655). In exploration, Petrobras is contracting cloud-based (SaaS) subscription access to a seismic acquisition portal. Seismic acquisition is the survey used to map rock layers beneath the surface, offshore or onshore: vessels or field crews emit sound waves, and sensors record the echoes that bounce back from the rock. This data is the basis for identifying where oil and gas may be found. Portals of this kind allow users to browse, purchase or download seismic data, or to monitor acquisition campaigns. The international tender is open until November 3 (Opportunity No. 7004680959). Transpetro For Transpetro, Petrobras is contracting, among other solutions, a digital platform (RPA) to support the employee hiring process. The contract will go to the lowest bidder in an open-format tender. Opportunity No. 7004657086 is open to bids until October 21. Transpetro is also purchasing controllers and peripherals for its corporate wireless (Wi-Fi) network. In tender No. 7004672025, a closed-bid process, the lowest price wins. Bids can be submitted until October 16. Positioning Also in the digital field, but focused on market positioning, Petrobras is hiring specialized services to plan and execute the digital presence strategy for the Petrobras brand. Bids can be submitted until December 8. The contract value for all services is R$119.2mn (US$23.7mn). Bidding will be closed. The tender documents allow up to two companies to be hired for the services. If only one bidder qualifies, Petrobras says it may sign a contract for the amount set for continuous services plus 50% of the remuneration established for on-demand services, complementary services and others. The company also says it may launch a “new subsequent and exclusionary bidding process” to hire another company. In that case, the winner of the first contract will be barred from taking part. Details of the process are available on Petronect under opportunity number 7004643878. (The original version of this content was written in Portuguese)
