DataBee Advances Cyber Risk Automation With AI-Native Architecture and Expanded Security Capabilities #AI

DataBee®, a Comcast Company, has announced significant enhancements to its cyber risk management platform, introducing the latest evolution of DataBee Continuous Controls Monitoring (CCM), new capabilities in DataBee Frontier AI Defense, and expanded functionality for DataBee User Access Review (UAR).
The updates are designed to automate manual processes involved in security control monitoring, application exposure assessments, and user access reviews, helping organizations manage cyber risk with less cost, complexity, and effort while accelerating time to insight and action.
Central to these advancements is an AI-native federated architecture that allows organizations to analyze cybersecurity data at its source, eliminating the need to move, normalize, and consolidate data before conducting analysis. Although federated analytics has long been used in areas such as financial services and customer relationship management, cybersecurity data has traditionally been fragmented across diverse systems, making cross-platform analysis more challenging.
Drawing on years of cybersecurity data expertise and a library of more than 340 connectors, DataBee has developed new generative AI capabilities that connect to structured, semi-structured, and unstructured security data, calculate key measurements, and retrieve only the information required for analysis. This approach reduces implementation complexity, shortens time-to-value, and gives organizations faster access to actionable cyber risk insights.
“Cyber risk management has been constrained for too long by the effort required to prepare data before teams can act,” said Nicole Bucala, CEO of DataBee. “Listening to the voices of key leaders in our field, we have developed a new approach that makes distributed security data immediately useful, enabling organizations to automate critical cyber risk management workflows with far less effort. This is an important step toward helping security and IT teams move more quickly from identifying risk to reducing it.”
Reimagining Continuous Controls Monitoring
DataBee, a Comcast company, was included as a Sample Vendor in the Continuous Controls Monitoring category of the 2026 Gartner report, “Hype Cycle™ for Cyber-Risk Management, 2026”, 27 April 2026, Deepti Gopal, Pedro Pablo Perea de Duenas.
The latest version of DataBee CCM introduces an updated architecture that enables organizations to measure security control effectiveness without undertaking a major data infrastructure project. AI-assisted connector creation streamlines onboarding, while flexible monitoring allows teams to configure the controls, metrics, dashboards, and frameworks most relevant to their business needs.
Users can also ask DataBee questions about their security control posture to uncover gaps, assess risks, obtain recommendations for metrics to measure specific controls, and track changes in control risks with guidance on potential improvements.
DataBee CCM delivers explainable, rigorous, data-backed measurements that organizations can reuse across multiple regulatory, security, and business frameworks. This approach simplifies continuous risk reporting and helps teams obtain answers to cyber risk and compliance questions more quickly.
“Continuous controls monitoring should not require organizations to complete a major infrastructure project before they can start measuring what matters,” said Scott Miserendino, CTO of DataBee. “We rethought the architecture around the questions customers want answered and the measurements they want to create, resulting in a dramatically simpler path to value.”
Starting this quarter, selected organizations will be able to evaluate DataBee CCM through a complimentary two-week trial. Organizations interested in early access can register now to reserve a place in the program.
Frontier AI Defense: From Vulnerability Findings to Faster Remediation
Vulnerability scanners identify security weaknesses, but organizations also need to determine which findings pose the greatest risk and who is responsible for addressing them. DataBee aims to help security teams establish those connections.
As AI-powered attacks accelerate vulnerability exploitation, security teams face growing volumes of findings while struggling to answer three critical questions: How important is it? Who owns it? What should we do next? DataBee for Frontier AI Defense automatically maps vulnerabilities to the business-critical applications they affect, helping organizations identify accountable owners and speed up remediation.
DataBee’s proprietary, patent-pending entity resolution technology correlates and deduplicates data from scanners, CMDBs, application inventories, and operational systems to establish a single record for each business application. By linking vulnerabilities to affected applications and identifying the individuals or teams responsible for remediation, the solution addresses a common source of patching delays: determining who must take action.
Combined with advanced analytics and business risk prioritization, these capabilities support faster patching, more effective resource allocation, and measurable reductions in cyber risk.
Extending Identity Governance to Legacy Applications
User access reviews continue to pose a significant challenge for identity governance programs. While many governance solutions concentrate on cloud and SaaS applications, organizations often depend on spreadsheets, manual workflows, and ad hoc evidence collection to review access across mainframe, on-premises, and custom-built systems. As a result, critical parts of the enterprise can remain outside automated governance processes.
DataBee User Access Review addresses this challenge by identifying applications that require review, establishing ownership, generating reviewer populations, and maintaining the evidence and traceability required for compliance and audit programs.
By complementing existing identity governance investments, DataBee enables organizations to extend governed access reviews across both modern and legacy environments through a more comprehensive, automated process.
