The hacker community has recorded the first confirmed instances of software dumps for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 console. Access to restricted files was gained through the use of a specialized tool called ns2jb, which bypasses the platform’s basic file system protection layers. According to technical information obtained, the data extraction process has already entered an active phase, indicating the presence of critical vulnerabilities in the current benchmark versions of the device’s operating system.
As a result of the initial hack and subsequent data mining, researchers were able to extract system archives of the Duskbloods beta version, as well as files for the new Mario Kart installment. Among the extracted data was a full-fledged, high-polygon 3D model of Princess Peach, designed for the next generation of arcade racing games. Analysis of the structure of the obtained archives confirms the use of updated compression and rendering methods adapted to the computing power and graphics architecture of the new system.
The publication of this information marks the transition of the Switch 2 reverse engineering scene to the practical stage of working with digital software images. Currently, dedicated enthusiast groups are continuing the process of deciphering the internal drive layout and benchmarking the exploit’s stability on available builds. Experts predict that more game file dumps will soon appear as the functionality of hacking software tools expands and the system kernel vulnerabilities are further studied.
