Protecting yourself online has never been more important and older adults need the digital chops to counter digital scams. New data highlights a serious threat: in 2025, adults aged 60+ submitted more complaints to the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center than any other age group.
SoCal older adults can join a free, hands-on workshop hosted by Verizon, Senior Planet and AARP’s Older Adults Technology Service (OATS) at our local Verizon stores on the following dates:
- Wednesday, June 10th: 5070 W Rosecrans Avenue, Hawthorne, CA 90250
- Thursday, June 11th: 10814 Jefferson Boulevard, Suite R, Culver City, CA 90230
All three events run from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. PT.
