Tnaps, an artificial intelligence (AI) security startup, has raised 4.5 billion won ($3.3 million) in seed funding, the company said Friday. The round was led by Mirae Asset Venture Investment with participation from Mirae Asset Capital, Murex Partners and Kakao Ventures.

Tnaps develops “AI Trust Layer,” a runtime security infrastructure that verifies and controls the responses and actions of AI agents at the execution stage. The system detects and blocks risks through a two-step detection and judgment structure at the moment AI actually operates. It also prevents major risks such as hallucinations, data leaks and jailbreaking. All decision-making processes are automatically stored as legally valid audit records, enabling clear verification of decision paths and accountability in the event of an incident.

Tnaps is currently conducting proof-of-concept (PoC) tests with major Korean commercial banks and is preparing for actual field deployment. The company plans to expand into the healthcare, public and enterprise markets going forward, aiming to secure a leading position in the global AI security infrastructure sector.

“In the era of AI agents, operational reliability and regulatory compliance have become as important as model performance,” Tnaps CEO Kang Min-seung said. “Through this investment, we will aggressively accelerate the recruitment of core talent and technology advancement, and grow into a global standard infrastructure company that ensures AI can be trusted wherever and whatever it executes.”
