RINGTOWN – A Ringtown firm is out nearly $5,000 after state troopers say a hacker gained access to their Square credit card reader.
The incident happened on August 5 or 6 and was reported on August 14, according to the State Police at Frackville.
A business on West Main Street reported that someone had hacked into their Square credit card reader and charged $4,950 to a credit card.
Anyone with information is asked to call troopers at 570-874-5300.
