SINGER wants to protect kids from schoolyard and online abuse.
Amapiano sensation Thatohatsi is proving that her mission goes far beyond making hit songs.
The 22-year-old star, whose real name is Thato Raphadi from Springs in Ekurhuleni, has launched an anti-bullying campaign aimed at protecting kids and young people from bullying, cyberbullying and social media abuse.
Known for her breakout hit Xolele and collaborations on songs such as Incwadi Yenduduzo, Izimbali and Iphupho, Thatohatsi has quickly become one of amapiano’s fastest-rising vocalists.
The talented vocalist, who has also worked with heavyweights including DJ Maphorisa, Kelvin Momo, ShaunMusiQ and Major League DJz, said her latest project is all about giving hope to young people.
“Guys, so I started a campaign, an anti-bullying campaign, which right now hasn’t been finalised yet, but it’s just an idea that I placed on social media, and I’m willing to expand it so much to empower young kids and also older kids from bullying and all these social media things,” she said.

She urged the public to get behind the initiative.

Thatohatsi believes bullying has become one of the biggest challenges facing kids today, with many suffering in silence both at school and online.
The campaign aims to educate young people about the dangers of bullying, encourage victims to speak out and inspire communities to create safer spaces where kids feel accepted and protected.
Away from the amapiano scene, Thatohatsi is also passionate about ministry.
She has previously spoken to Daily Sun about her desire to use music to lead people to God, saying she wants her songs to inspire faith, healing and hope while remaining true to her Christian values.
For Thatohatsi, making chart-topping music and making a difference go hand in hand.
