BORGER, Texas (KVII) — The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children has issued a warning to local law enforcement about a serial child predator targeting minors on social media platforms.
The predator, posing as a minor, has been soliciting inappropriate images and videos from children.
One of the victims identified in this case is from Borger. The platform Discord reported that the predator has been pressuring multiple child victims, aged between 12 and 15, into creating and sharing self-generated content. The predator reportedly seeks out victims through Discord, Roblox and other social media platforms.
Authorities urge parents to talk to their children about the dangers of sharing personal information online. They recommend setting boundaries on platform usage, monitoring online activity, knowing children’s friends both online and offline, and enabling parental controls on devices and apps.
