BOSSIER PARISH, La. (KSLA) – A man from Bossier City will be castrated as part of his sentence for aggravated crimes against nature.
The district attorney’s office says on April 6, Zachary Dewayne Doolittle, 40, entered a guilty plea for the charge of aggravated crimes against nature. He was sentenced to 45 years in prison.
The DA’s office says in addition to his prison term, Doolittle will be castrated, as required by Louisiana law. According to the DA, Doolittle performed sexual acts of a family member under the age of 13.

“My office is committed to prosecuting the predators that victimize children and will work hand-in-hand with our partners in law enforcement to protect children,” said Bossier/Webster District Attorney Schuyler Marvin. “The Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office should be commended for their outstanding work in this case. They delivered us a solid investigation, and we were able to remove another sexual predator from our community. I am extremely proud of the work my ADA Chance Nerren did on this case,” Marvin also noted.
