SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office (CPSO) is helping local students and families prepare for the upcoming school year by hosting its Back-to-School Safety Kick-Off & Health Fair.
Bossier Parish’s Ivan Lake renovations enhance fishing access
Topics addressed at the fair will include general safety reminders, health and wellness information, car seat and seat belt safety, emergency preparedness, and school bus safety.

Admission is free and open to the public. CPSO says families are encouraged to stop by, ask questions, and take advantage of the educational resources available as they get ready for the upcoming school year.
The event will take place on Thursday, Aug. 6, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Sheriff’s Safety Town on Jewella Avenue.
