A major inquiry has called for a sweeping overhaul of the child safety sector in Queensland, delivering a scathing assessment of its current policies and treatment of children.
The Queensland Commission of Inquiry into Child Safety handed down its report this week, with 52 recommendations including overhauling out-of-home care, expanding adoption options, and removing all children under 5 from residential care.
