CASA GRANDE, Ariz. (KVOA) – Casa Grande Police Department arrested 10 suspects during a two-day operation targeting online predators accused of seeking to engage in illicit sexual activities with children in the city, according to officials.

The multi-agency operation happened on Aug. 22 and Aug. 23. Casa Grande Police said law enforcement officers posed undercover as minors.

The operation involved several agencies including the Casa Grande Fire Department and the Arizona Anti-Trafficking Network. The suspects now face 29 sexual-related felony charges, with additional charges for misconduct with weapons, prohibited possessor violations and possession of narcotics for several suspects. Multiple firearms were also seized in the operation, officials said.

According to Casa Grande Police, most of the arrested individuals traveled to the city to commit the crimes.

“This successful luring operation is a testament to detailed planning, investigative expertise and the unwavering commitment of our officers and collaborating partners to keep Arizona communities safer,” Chief of Police Mark McCrory said.

McCrory emphasized the importance of parental involvement in children’s online activities to prevent exploitation. Families are encouraged to set boundaries and utilize child protection resources.
