A man from Texas’ 10 Most Wanted Fugitives List was finally caught and arrested after a warrant was issued for his arrest for sexual assault of multiple children as young as 8 years old.
The Arrest of Fugitive Jacob Kessler
Jacob Aaron Kessler, 41, was arrested on July 18 following efforts led by the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Fugitive Task Force. Kessler was located at a residence in Houston where officials were quick to apprehend and arrest the wanted man.

In addition to the Gulf Coast task force, Kessler’s arrest was also due in part to the DPS (Department of Public Safety) Criminal Investigations Division, Texas Highway Patrol, Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office, Houston Police Department, Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Pasadena Police Department, and the Harris County Precinct 1 and 5 constable’s offices.
Jacob Kessler’s History of Sexual Assault
Kessler’s first conviction was back in 2011 where he was charged with sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child by sexual contact, according to a release from Texas DPS.
Both incidents involved a 15-year-old girl and an 8-year-old girl, respectively. As a result, he was sentenced to nine years in prison for each offense which he served at the same time.
In April, 2025, Kessler received a warrant for his arrest after reoffending with two counts of aggravated assault of a child and one count of aggravated sexual assault.
Jacob Kessler’s criminal history also includes burglary of a vehicle on top of the sexual assault charges.
Submitting Tips Through Texas Crime Stoppers
Because Kessler’s arrest did not come from an anonymous tip but rather from facts discovered during investigations, the $5,000 reward for his capture will not be dispensed.
In order to be eligible for the reward for any of the fugitives on Texas’ most wanted list, you must submit a tip that includes information that directly leads to the identification and/or arrest of either person.
To submit an anonymous tip, you can call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-8477, submit information online through the Texas DPS website, or submit a tip on social media through the Facebook page.
