Bidar Deputy Superintendent of Police P. Shivanagouda Patil has appealed to children to call the emergency number 1098 or dial 100 or 112 to get immediate assistance during an emergency or if they are experiencing any distress.

Speaking at a child safety awareness drive programme organized at the Infinity School in Bidar on Saturday, the police officer reaffirmed the Police Department’s commitment to protecting children and citizens.

Mr. Patil advised teachers to teach students about good touch and bad touch. This helps them recognize and respond to inappropriate environments and foster open communication with their teachers and parents, he added.

Akka Pade (Special Women Police team) Assistant Sub-Inspector Sangeeta and school trustee Lakshmi Mugali also spoke on the occasion.
