A Child Safety Seat Check event will be held in Canastota on July 15.
Trained staff will make sure your child is in the correct car seat, that the seat is properly installed and used. The event is free; parents and guardians are encouraged to attend. Staff is requesting that the car seat you wished to have checked be already installed, and that your child is brought with you. No appointment is needed.
“We know a top priority of parents and caregivers is keeping your child safe,” said Chrystal Johnson, a Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician and Public Health Educator with Madison County Public Health. “We encourage families in the area to stop by this event to take advantage of this free service.”
The event will be from 4:00-6:00 pm at Community Action Partnership, 1001 New Market Drive, Canastota. The rain date is scheduled for July 22.
