LAS VEGAS: Cisco has unveiled a new artificial intelligence (AI)-driven platform designed to help organisations manage and protect critical IT infrastructure as businesses face increasingly sophisticated cyber threats.
The technology company introduced Cisco Cloud Control at Cisco Live 2026 in Las Vegas, describing it as a unified platform that allows human operators and AI agents to work together to manage, monitor and defend enterprise networks and digital systems.
Cisco president and chief product officer Jeetu Patel said the rapid advancement of AI is transforming how organisations operate and secure their digital infrastructure.
“AI agents reason and act continuously at software speed, and that changes everything about how we scale, manage and defend our critical infrastructure,” he said.
According to Cisco, the platform consolidates networking, security, computing, observability and collaboration tools into a single management environment, enabling businesses to gain a comprehensive view of their IT operations.
The company said organisations will also be able to develop customised applications and AI agents using natural-language prompts, while integrating with third-party platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft, Google Cloud, ServiceNow and Slack.
The launch comes as businesses worldwide grapple with growing cybersecurity risks, particularly as AI shortens the time between the discovery of software vulnerabilities and potential exploitation by cybercriminals.
To address these concerns, Cisco announced several security enhancements, including an expansion of its Live Protect capability, which shields supported products from newly discovered vulnerabilities without requiring system reboots, upgrades, or operational downtime.
The company also outlined new initiatives aimed at helping organisations prepare for future cyber threats, including those posed by quantum computing.
Among the measures announced are Quantum Ready Assessments, which identify systems most vulnerable to so-called “harvest now, decrypt later” attacks, where encrypted data is collected today for decryption once quantum computing capabilities become available.
Cisco said it plans to introduce quantum-safe communication capabilities across most of its core product portfolio by the end of 2026.
In addition, the company launched new resilience-focused services to help enterprises assess risk exposure, modernise infrastructure, and strengthen cyber defences against emerging AI-driven threats.
Cisco Cloud Control has entered controlled availability in the United States, with global availability expected to follow.
Several new cybersecurity and resilience services are scheduled for global release in July 2026.
