The event brought together key stakeholders committed to safeguarding the well-being of children, including representatives from TSM Outreach and various emergency services personnel. Their presence highlighted the collaborative effort required to ensure children are protected, educated, and supported within their communities.
Learners and teachers were treated to an engaging and informative programme aimed at raising awareness about child safety, abuse prevention, and the importance of speaking out. Police officers interacted with the learners in an age-appropriate manner, emphasising the message that their voices matter and that help is always available.
Healthcare professionals from Lenmed reinforced the importance of both physical and emotional well-being, while TSM Outreach contributed by addressing social challenges faced by children and families in vulnerable situations.
Emergency services personnel also demonstrated their roles in responding to crises, helping to build trust and familiarity with the children while showcasing the importance of safety and preparedness.

Through education, awareness, and strong partnerships, the community continues to take meaningful steps towards creating a safer environment for all children.
Child protection is everyone’s responsibility in the country; from parents, teachers and the overall community, we all need to ensure the future of children countrywide,” said Tsholofelo Radebe, one of the co-ordinators of the event.
Child Protection Week remains a vital platform to advocate for children’s rights and to ensure that every child grows up in a secure and nurturing environment.
