Matthew Ferraro joined Crowell & Moring as a partner in its privacy and cybersecurity group, the firm announced Tuesday.
Ferraro’s practice will focus on counseling companies on technology and national security issues, advising on regulations related to artificial intelligence, data privacy, and emerging technologies, the firm said. He will advise government contractors and other clients on geopolitical and national security risks, including with matters before the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States.
He joins from the Department of Homeland Security, where he was senior counselor for cybersecurity and emerging technology.
