SDG, a Norwalk-based provider of AI-driven cybersecurity, has acquired Synergetika, a Toronto-based privileged access management consultant and integrator.

Privileged access management (PAM) is a cybersecurity strategy that provides access to critical IT systems to certain individuals and systems with elevated permissions.

SDG, which is headquartered at 75 N. Water St., in Norwalk, did not disclose the deal’s financial terms.

“This strategic move strengthens SDG’s delivery capabilities and deepens its expertise in helping organizations secure critical systems through expert PAM strategy and implementation,” SDG said. “Privileged access abuse is a top cause of cyberattacks, especially insider threats and lateral movement within compromised systems.”

Synergetika’s clients include PAM technology providers CyberArk, BeyondTrust and Microsoft, SDG said.

SDG is majority-owned by private equity firm Recognize Partners LP, which focuses on the digital services industry.
