Following the hacker attack on the Radix Foundation, sensitive personal data containing the names and debts of banned casino guests has surfaced on the Darknet. Address, occupation, income and salary statements are also visible, as reported by SRF radio and television on Friday.

The Federal Office for Cyber Security (FOCS) reported the ransomware attack by the hacker group “Sarcoma” at the end of June. The cyber criminals wanted to extort money from the foundation, which is active in the healthcare sector.

Shortly afterwards, according to research by SRF Data, they posted 1.3 terabytes of sensitive data on the darknet. This is likely to be one of the largest data leaks from a healthcare organization in Switzerland to date.

In addition to personal information about people with a voluntary or ordered casino ban, data from 1,300 other people can be viewed on the darknet according to the findings. Most of those affected accessed the hacked database via the “Center for Gambling Addiction and Other Behavioral Addictions”.
