The Federal Aviation Administration and the Transportation Security Administration need to do more to protect airports, airlines, and the flying public from cyber attacks, according to a report by the Government Accountability Office.
“Aircraft depend on avionics and ground systems to get from one place to the next safely,” states the 84-page report released Thursday. “The growing interconnectivity of these aviation systems to support flight operations has increased their exposure to cyber-based threats.”
