The Public Prosecution referred a “death threat” complaint filed by Abdul Hamid Assaf and Aboud Diab against Hamsho to the Cybercrime Misdemeanors Court in Damascus countryside.

Hamsho is scheduled to appear before the court judge today at the Justice Palace in Damascus countryside, according to the summons issued to him.

According to media reports, the complaint concerns posts and content published on social media pages that were deemed death threats against the complainants and several activists.

The case comes amid an ongoing legal and media dispute. In May 2025, Hamsho previously filed a lawsuit against Abdul Hamid Assaf, accusing him of “electronic defamation” over the publication of videos calling for Hamsho to be held accountable and his wealth investigated, as well as allegations related to the theft of iron from areas destroyed by the former regime.
