Losses from decentralized finance, or DeFi, bridge hacks have reached $328.6 million so far this year.

Cointelegraph reported on May 23, citing data from blockchain security firm PeckShield, that there have been eight bridge-related hacking incidents in DeFi this year. Cumulative losses totaled $328.6 million.

PeckShield data showed the largest bridge hack this year involved KelpDAO and LayerZero (ZRO), with losses of about $292 million. Other cases included hacks involving THORChain (RUNE), the Verus-Ethereum Bridge and the IoTeX Bridge.

The data also showed that total value locked across the DeFi market fell to $86 billion from about $100 billion after the KelpDAO hack.
