Dental implant manufacturer Park Dental Research Corporation recently suffered a ransomware attack that led to the exposure of sensitive information.
The data breach took place on or about April 29, according to a notice filed June 26 with the Massachusetts Attorney General’s office. Information exposed in the breach includes names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, home addresses, driver’s licenses, passport information and financial information.
The manufacturer said in the notice that it is not aware of anyone experiencing fraud as a result of the incident.
The INTERLOCK hacker group claimed responsibility for the breach on the dark web May 11, claiming to have obtained 260 gigabytes of data, according to a notice on ClaimDepot.
Shamis & Gentile, a class-action law firm specializing in data breaches, said it is investigating the incident.
