The Trump administration has provided Louisiana’s attorney general with a $1 million grant to support victims of cybercrime, the U.S. Department of Justice announced Tuesday.

The money will be used in “a statewide effort to identify, serve and empower victims of technology-facilitated abuse, including image-based sexual abuse, non-consensual dissemination of intimate images and sextortion,” according to a DOJ news release.

The effort will fund the creation of victim’s rights materials and other resources for police to distribute and expand access to services for people targeted through cybercrimes. State officials will also establish a protocol for multiple agencies to respond to such instances.

“The protocol will directly address rapidly evolving digital crimes …” Attorney General Liz Murrill said in the news release. “Initiatives like these strengthen real-time collaboration among prosecutors, law enforcement and victim services.”
