Domestic small and medium-sized companies will enter the Japanese physical security market. Smartkeeper, a physical security company, announced on the 22nd that it will enter the Japanese market from this month after signing a strategic partnership contract with NTT East Japan, a Japanese telecommunications and infrastructure company, to “exclusive supply of physical security solutions and expand markets.”

This agreement is significant in that NTT East Japan, known for its demanding technology verification, has selected the technology of Korean small and medium-sized companies as a “local standard.”

NTT East Japan has decided to adopt and exclusively supply the SMARTKEEPER Pro series, Smartkeeper’s high-end product line, as a key lineup of newly launched corporate security brands called “BizDrive Physical Security.”

Smartkeeper Pro is a product that adopts an independent access control method that cannot be released without a dedicated key, and has been applied to major global institutions and companies for the past decade, proving security effectiveness.

Through this agreement, the two companies plan to establish a new market category called ‘hardware physical security’ in Japan that overcomes the limitations of software security.

In the future, SmartKeeper will provide physical standard solutions to public institutions and companies in Japan to block information leakage accidents through USB and network ports. Starting with this port security cooperation, the company plans to expand its scope to ▲ equipment management ▲ asset export control ▲ physical access control to build an ‘integrated physical security solution’ in the Japanese market step by step.

“We are very happy to provide physical security solutions to Japanese customers in cooperation with smartkeepers with industry-leading technology,” said Takaki Kadono, head of NTT’s advanced technology division in Japan. “It will play a key role in raising the security level of Japanese companies to the next level regardless of industry.”

“This contract is the starting point for creating a physical security area together in the Japanese market beyond simple product supply through cooperation with global infrastructure companies such as NTT Dongil,” said Smartkeeper CEO Ahn Chang-hoon. “We will strive to provide practical security values to Japanese customers and propose new standards for physical security.”
