Jordan Lee Burk, 28, was sentenced to four years’ probation for online solicitation of a minor, following a guilty plea, according to court records.
TYLER, Texas — A Palestine man who was arrested in 2024 following an investigation by an online group was sentenced to four years’ probation for soliciting a child online.
Jordan Lee Burk, 28, pleaded guilty to online solicitation of a minor on Feb. 19. He was then sentenced to four years of deferred adjudication probation with 400 community service hours, according to online court records.
An arrest affidavit says that Burk was arrested after the owner of a YouTube channel “Predator Poacher” told the Tyler Police Department that Burk admitted to him that Burk was having sexually explicit conversations with children as young as 11 years old. “Predator Poacher” seeks to catch sexual predators online.
The YouTube channel owner said the group had been in contact with Burk since June 2023. One of the “Predator Poacher” team members spoke to Burk pretending to be an 11-year-old girl. Evidence showed Burk sent inappropriate messages to the person he believed to be a young child, according to the affidavit.
In a conversation with “Predator Poacher,” Burk admitted that he frequently views child pornography. Burk denied saying anything sexual in nature in his messages, the affidavit read.
