WASHINGTON (TNND) — The FBI announced Wednesday that it has launched a new website.“New website,” the FBI Jobs page wrote in a post on X. “Same FBI. Apply today.”The website home page has different options to choose from, including Special Agents, Careers, and Life at the FBI.“From special agents and intelligence analysts to scientists, technologists, and business professionals, the FBI offers career paths for nearly every skill set – all united by one mission: protecting the American people,” the page reads.Last month, a digital extortion group called “ShinyHunters” claimed that it breached the FBI and stole the data of many employees. The group also defaced the FBI’s job website.Earlier this month, the FBI arrested a suspected co-conspirator linked to ShinyHunters after the breach.“This is the latest arrest this FBI has made in a matter of days involving this network, as we work non-stop to dismantle the group, pursue new leads and evidence, and act quickly,” FBI Director Kash Patel wrote on X. “This arrest demonstrates the strength and reach of our efforts to protect Americans from cybercrime.”In late September, Patel said that Dutch police arrested the alleged leader of ShinyHunters.”In coordination with FBI investigators the Dutch High-Tech Crime Unit arrested the suspect under Dutch law,” he said. “As we speak FBI teams are actively working with partners to obtain and execute more leads in the ongoing investigation based on this arrest.”
