Operation Setoria Rescues 87 Children in Texas

The operation represents one of the largest child protection efforts carried out by the agency in recent months.
Multiple Predators Face Justice Nationwide
FBI New Haven arrested a suspect accused of repeatedly sexually abusing and exploiting a child, while FBI Chicago secured a 150-year prison sentence for a predator who exploited numerous victims.
In Detroit, FBI agents secured a guilty plea from a former physician for possessing child sexual abuse material, following a joint investigation with local law enforcement partners in Toledo.
FBI Nashville obtained an indictment against a subject connected to the violent 764 network, who allegedly collected child sexual abuse material and explicit photos of minors online before traveling to abuse his victims.
In Houston, FBI work led to a 33-year prison sentence for a man who targeted and exploited more than 100 children using social media accounts to coerce them into sexually explicit conduct.
Drug Trafficking and Violent Crime Operations
Patel also highlighted results from Operation Rare Beef conducted by FBI Buffalo, which arrested three subjects and seized over 20 kilograms of cocaine and approximately 15,000 dollars in cash.
Operation VIPER in St. Louis resulted in the arrest of 91 of the city’s most dangerous offenders, making the community safer according to the FBI chief.
Terror Plot and Fraud Cases
Following an FBI New Orleans investigation, a grand jury this week indicted a subject in the Turtle Island Liberation Front’s plot to carry out bombings in California on New Year’s Eve.
FBI Baltimore charged multiple conspirators for defrauding the American public of more than 9 million dollars in disaster-relief loans intended for dozens of U.S. businesses.
Patel emphasized the agency’s commitment to holding anyone accountable who defrauds the government and abuses public trust.
