FITZGERLD, Ga. (WALB) — A Fitzgerald man is facing child molestation charges after the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) alleged that he engaged in inappropriate contact with a child.
50-year-old John David Anderson was arrested and charged with Child Molestation, Enticing a Child for Indecent Purposes and for Grooming of a Minor, according to a GBI press release.
The GBI reportedly became aware of the alleged actions after getting a tip from the Cordele Judicial Circuit. A search warrant was issued for Anderson’s home and business, the GBI said. The investigation resulted in Anderson’s arrest on July 10, according to the press release.
Anderson’s Company, CAAA Security, provided private security for some South Georgia schools and school systems, according to the business’ Facebook page and website.
Posts on the CAAA Security Facebook page say the company worked with the Irwin County School District, The Ben Hill School District, Vidalia City Schools and other South Georgia businesses.
Once the investigation is complete, the case will be turned over to the Cordele Judicial Circuit District for review.
Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact the GBI at (478) 987-4545. Anonymous tips can be sent in online here.
